Today @ Milton

Wow, what an experience and it's only the beginning to an awesome season.

Here's a run down of what happened today:

.woke up 7 am,
.Packed up and picked up a couple paddle mates and headed out to Milton,
.got there settled and had a lot of tents set up (it rained that day)
.First 500m was a little disorganized, got guest paddlers and guest drummers. But it was good no start just did 95% right off the bat.
.Our main coach Jason showed up with other guest paddlers finally showed up afterwards and that's when our team pulled together with new focus on proper techniques.
.Second and Third 500m, felt less tired (at least i did) because of better technique and slower stroke rate
.Paddled 250m for another team the City Paddlers and another 250m for ourselves
.The last 2000m was the endurance run and it was HARDCORE!!!!! A real test for physical and mental endurance to get to that finish line. It was raining too then, and at the turn, the boat to my right totally filled us with water, but just kept paddling. Like wise, TK drove us into a buncha trees and branches!!!. I was like HUH?... *pow!

.Overall, it was a good practice / race day for Swordfish, opening the new season with this festival.

The next festival would be the big and spectated event at Center Island Toronto!!!. 4 practices between now and then!

I am damn sore right now...

@ Afterwards we all went to Mandarin in sauga for a buffet. It was pretty good but damn expensive. ouch 22 bucks + tax and tips OUCH!

MILTON DB RACE!!!!!

Up and early. 3 hours till first race @ Milton!

BOO YAH!!!!

Young and Restless

Young and restless. It turns out that I can still party with a good bunch of friends and have a good time still. Not yet to ready to retire from punishing my body with alcohol and repetitive clunky-shoe'd jumping syndrome.

ooo... posting from blackberry

Haha, I guess I don't have to wait for mob blog service on blogger if I reeeeallly wanted to splurt my thoughts with my bb. Apparently I have a device that loads up blogger dashboard nice and easy...

Alright I won't tell you where I'm sitting while I'm typing this on my wireless blackberry...

Doo doo doo...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYFF

Shum Shum's Birthday today and just a quick Happy Birthday blog to her... ooo so special. Hah. you're a big 2 - 2 just like me now. Bwahaha.

I oughta go to bed...

The night goes on, I oughta take my shower that I havne't taken since I worked out at lunch. My back is still sore from SATURDAY from dragonboat. I'm so out of shape but I'm definatley eager to get back on track. Lots of things going on this week I think

Wednesday Pool practice with Swordfish in Waterloo
Thursday Poker
Friday possible BBQ and Karaoke at some guai lo bar in loo Silver Spur
Saturday DB Boat Practice + Technique workshop with one of the members of Piranha
Saturday Night , possible clubbing at Tonic for a db fundraiser
Sunday ... back to loo...

Crazy eh?

I still don't feel like i'm doing a good balance of things comparing these tasks to the goals I posted in the last post... Lots of social lots of dragonboat lots of workout and stuff. Missing out on some of the things I really wanna improve on this term...

We'll c We'll c by July 1st..

That's it i'm going to bed...

Goals this term...

Goals goals goals, a fresh new term, a fresh new start...everytime I think that way and everytime I set some goals, I never complete more than half of them. As we speak now, I'm staying up late for god knows why. Maybe cause i'm a little love sick with my baby in europe and all... Only the third day. Sigh ~.~

Well I have a list of goals I hope to complete within 60 days and will refine and set new ones for another 60 days all the way to before school term starts again in the fall term.

Here they are, (if I post em, mbe they'll have a better chance of coming true?)

1. Dragonboat and healthy regimen
2. Personal programming, Work experience
3. Learn guitar songs and get down and refine the guitar basics (chords, scales, chord changing)
4. Play at least two games of serious Go per week and achieve at least 13 kyu
5. Play more poker improve poker skills
6. Take on a Healthy Regimen : Fruits and Veggies every day and working out 3-4 times a week
7. Clean and provide proper maitenance to all my gadgets and computers
8. Enhance my social skills and develop better relationships

I feel embarassed just listing some of these out. So far, at least my primary goal is happening. Got some tips from TK for a dragonboat workout at the gym and I'm paddling for Swordfish this term at Milton, Toronto, Waterloo and Hamilton!

Work experience, I guess i'm learning some advance C++ at work but I oughta do some more programming at home if i'm hardcore.

Guitar, man, i gotta pick that thing up and play like 30 minutes a day instead of sitting on my ass watching episodes even though i'd still be sitting on my ass playing guitar

Go man, i havne't started yet this term, I did a few problems here and there but nothing serious. it's being overtaken by poker since all these OS employee dudes play it every week. I lost 18 bucks last week to those sharks, ... we'll see how I do this coming thursday. Been reading up and practicing!

Healthy Regimen, not too bad... eating fruits everyday and drinking milk and eating healthy :)

Nerdy tools need nerdy attention, I have yet to format my file server and clean that computer up... and i'm still waiting on my miniSD card for my new microsoft smart phone i-mate sp3i.....

Man, Comp Eng honestly makes you anti social. No matter how much you're slacking or studying hard, somehow it just gets to ya either way. Well I'm meeting some new people here and there and definately will make use of the summer by throwing more parties at my house :)

It's late, I'm bored without Idy by my side. I hope she's having lots of fun.

Rambling rambling ramblings of a crazy old boy...

Mobblogging?

Wow, blogger now offers some simple mobblogging service. All you need to do is send a email to go@blogger.com (of course after registering with tokens and all) you can blog to your mobile blog from any mobile phone with data access. However, apparently from blogger.com at least, i'ts not supported by canadian carriers. I was trying to blog with my blackberry wirelessly but couldn't.

Sigh~ it's late at night and it's only middle of the week...
