Today @ Milton
Here's a run down of what happened today:
.woke up 7 am,
.Packed up and picked up a couple paddle mates and headed out to Milton,
.got there settled and had a lot of tents set up (it rained that day)
.First 500m was a little disorganized, got guest paddlers and guest drummers. But it was good no start just did 95% right off the bat.
.Our main coach Jason showed up with other guest paddlers finally showed up afterwards and that's when our team pulled together with new focus on proper techniques.
.Second and Third 500m, felt less tired (at least i did) because of better technique and slower stroke rate
.Paddled 250m for another team the City Paddlers and another 250m for ourselves
.The last 2000m was the endurance run and it was HARDCORE!!!!! A real test for physical and mental endurance to get to that finish line. It was raining too then, and at the turn, the boat to my right totally filled us with water, but just kept paddling. Like wise, TK drove us into a buncha trees and branches!!!. I was like HUH?... *pow!
.Overall, it was a good practice / race day for Swordfish, opening the new season with this festival.
The next festival would be the big and spectated event at Center Island Toronto!!!. 4 practices between now and then!
I am damn sore right now...
@ Afterwards we all went to Mandarin in sauga for a buffet. It was pretty good but damn expensive. ouch 22 bucks + tax and tips OUCH!
